LET’S TELL YOUR GAME’S STORY TOGETHER.

Hello! I’m Tom. My lifelong passion for gaming’s led me to work on over 80 games, from the scrappiest indie to the loftiest AAA, and everything in-between. No matter the title, no matter the budget, I love nothing more than helping games find their audience.

I’ve been incredibly lucky across my career, with mentors who’ve believed in me to constantly try new things and learn by doing. Working in small, tight-knit teams, I’ve always worn many hats and spun many plates.

From planning headline-shattering announcements to carving out opportunities that give hidden gems a fighting chance, I’m at home as long as I’m helping bring the art form I love to the world.

SERVICES

  • No two games are the same, so there’s no reason they should be marketed the same way.

I love getting into the weeds and discovering a game’s identity, establishing its USPs and core communication pillars, and figuring out how we win over our target audience.

Whether you need a plan from square one with clear beats, goals, and opportunities lain out, a mid-campaign course change, or a post-launch revival, I’m always up for a new challenge.

  • My love of gaming means I’m always mulling over creative ideas, and I’ve had the good fortune to see some of them brought to life and experienced by millions of people.

Authenticity, relevance, and performance are at the heart of my process, and I’ve built strong relationships with likeminded editors, artists, and leading creative agencies.

Regardless of scope, I’m confident we can find an answer to your creative needs.

  • Are you an agency looking to speak game marketers’ language, a dev prepping your pitch for publishers and first party partners, or a publisher aiming to win the heart of an indie darling studio?

I’ve played a key role in successful pitches of all types, and can help you craft everything from baseline messaging to creative concepts, visual assets, and presentation delivery.

  • Great copy helps your game’s best aspects shine, just as bland copy prevents gamers from discovering them altogether.

Each piece of copy is a puzzle, challenging you to balance intrigue and clarity, to address your core audience without scaring away newcomers.

Across my career, I’ve found solutions in all shapes and sizes, from social copy to Steam pages and PlayStation Blogs. I’m always on the hunt for the next conundrum.

  • Audiences can smell phoniness from a mile off, and the approach you take with earned coverage can massively sway how authentic your game’s voice feels.

I can help build out target press and creator lists based on the content your audience loves, find the hook to get them interested, and manage outreach to get your game the coverage it deserves.

What people say about me

Few people bring together game knowledge and marketing expertise the way Tom does.

During our 5 years working together, he proved himself across strategy, media buying, PR, social media, and influencer management. Tom always delivers results fast and on budget. He is smart, personable, and dedicated.

If you get the chance to work with him, take it.
— Sven Paluch, Marketing Director ZA/UM
Tom is an excellent marketing manager. His knowledge of the gaming and entertainment industry is almost unparalleled. He works hard to find incredibly targeted and bespoke solutions for every game release.

In my time working with Tom I saw him take a small strategy campaign viral, put together a bespoke haunted mansion for a horror release, and take a space game into space (literally).

Tom is hard working, creative, invested, and exactly who you want on your game title.
— Lillian Salvadori, Marketing Manager THQ Nordic
At Arena Gaming, Tom proved himself to be one of the most versatile and reliable members of the team, combining deep gaming knowledge with strategic thinking and creative flair. He was instrumental in high-profile pitches and campaigns and brought a valuable level of insight.

When Tom moved client-side, he became our main day-to-day partner. His ability to manage complex global campaigns, balance creative direction with commercial objectives, and keep teams motivated and aligned made him a joy to collaborate with. He always pushed for smarter, more effective ideas, while never losing sight of the bigger picture.

Tom is that great blend of strategist, creative, and operator, someone who can see the opportunity, craft the plan, and then deliver it with impact.
— Ashley Bolt, Group Managing Partner - Gaming Arena Media UK
I can’t say enough about Tom’s creativity, engagement, and enthusiasm. He’s able to generate thoughtfully-curated, platform-specific ideas for a huge variety of titles and genres.

He’s also a fantastic creative partner, providing clear, effective direction on pitches and ideas. It’s rare to find someone whose feedback is as consistently diligent, valuable, and welcome.

And, on top of all this, he has impeccable taste in film.
— Matt Elliott, Creative Director We Are Reach
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Tom during his time as a marketing manager at Side.

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with such genuine passion for both his role and the video game industry as a whole. Tom consistently brought creativity, strategic insight, and an infectious enthusiasm to every project he worked on. His ability to combine deep industry knowledge with a forward-thinking approach made a real impact on our team.

Beyond his professional skills, Tom’s collaborative spirit and positive energy made him a joy to work with.
— Mark Landers, Client Partnerships Manager Side

Case studies

Working with amazing teams around the world, I’ve scared PewDiePie witless, gone viral with giant fantasy replicas, sent a collector’s edition into space, and much more.

Those executions might sound flashy, but I’ve never taken my eye off performance. Every decision made, every line of copy written, and every dollar spent is always keenly focused on maximising results.
